In my daily search for ways to procrastinate actually writing, I came across a few tools that I wanted to share with you.
First up is a short and sweet article from Writer's Digest about how to make your novel one that keeps readers turning those pages. There's nothing groundbreaking here, but it's nice to have all these great tips in one place.

Second is a website that could be helpful to you, or open the doors on some really strange people. Meetup.com is exactly what it sounds like. This is an area for people to post their interests and find others in their area. The purpose of the site is to actually meet these people face to face. I found a local writer's group that I think fits my needs. I'll fill you in on how the meetings go (they only meet once a month).
Last is a program that I heard about last year, but never really worked with. yWriter5 is a program designed to help you keep track of all those nit picky details that come with writing a novel. It's actually meant to be the only word processing, outlining, searching, and storymappying tool you'll need. It has a lot of cool features that I'm looking forward to exploring. Oh, and it's FREE.

I've been playing around with Storybook (http://storybook.intertec.ch/joomla/). I've done VERY little with it since I've done very little myself :P BUT you might take a look at it too. I'm going to check out yWriter. Maybe we can compare notes later :D
