Wannabe Writer Wednesday (with an extra day to grow on)

So it's kinda late and I think I'm starting to get to the delirious stage of sleepiness.  The temp job has been good, but I get home at about 5:30, which doesn't leave a whole lot of time to get everything I need done.  I'm still working on putting together my Favorite Things Swap Box and getting the house ready for some guests next weekend.  I am a day late for my Wannabe Writer Wednesday, and I've also decided to jump ahead of the game and get current with the other posters instead of playing catch-up.  Here it goes:

Wannabe Writers Wednesday #14

Where I am in the writing process:
I've just finished Script Frenzy and am actually pleased with what I've done so far.  I'm really looking forward to revising it and am playing around with the idea of shopping it around.  Who knows what will happen?

My current problems:
I've kind of already covered this in my intro, but life is becoming really hectic right now.  In a few weeks I'll be going to part time at my job which will help, but I've also got a lot of mini-trips and vacations planned in the near future.  I'm coming up blank with article ideas for Associated Content, and I'm becoming discouraged about writing short stories.

My questions:
What can I do to keep up the pace I've set before while also working?  How can I drum up ideas for articles?  Do any of you know a good (paying) market for short stories?

I gave up freelance a long time ago and have never been good at fictionalized short stories. I am strictly into novel writing now.

Hope you find the answers you are looking for! Oh, and congrats on your Script Frenzy!

Thanks! I've been thinking about trying to write a novel, but I'm not even quite sure where to start. Any suggestions?
