Katamari franchise--These games surround a really simple premise: roll a ball and pick things up. There's a definite quirkiness to the series, but the bright colors, simple controls, and cheerful music will keep the whole family entertained.
Mario Brothers--You can bet that anything with this little Italian plumber is ok for any of the family. With the new games on the Wii, even those that may be scared of those crazy controllers with all the buttons can join in on the fun. There's a reason this guy has been around for 27 years.
Lego Video Games--Did you know that those little plastic blocks have been digitized? There are several different series: Indiana Jones, Batman, Star Wars, Harry Potter, etc. Fast and easy to pick up, you'll find yourself enjoying the game and trying to puzzle out how to build the sets in real life. After all, who doesn't love Legos?

Hey, you're a day ahead! Either that or it's already Wednesday where you live. And I've never played Lego Star Wars although I heard it's a blast.
I love Mario :)
Following you from A-Z challenge!
I like intense games. The opposite of intense...boring...bleh. I'll pass.
You are ahead! I learned to play Mario so many years ago after having surgery on my knee my 8 year old daughter brought her Nintendo into my room and hooked it up. I was soon addicted and was up the entire night trying to beat the dragon. Such a fond memory...
My boys love gaming. Me not so much. Except for Heros of Might & Magic ... sometimes we'll take a four day weekend and play a huge map as a family. It's fun.
I am not a gamer, but I did play Mario when I was little. It was one of my favorite games. That and pacman. I probably just told my age with that but oh well lol
Stopping by from the challenge

I've only ever played Mario on SNES, and on someone else's console I can't even remember (maybe a Playstation?).
I play Mario Kart with the kids...and also Just Dance II.
I've played the Lego Batman with my husband since we got it with our Xbox 360. It was actually pretty fun. lol I've also played Kinect Adventures.
Didn't know about the Lego games, will have to tell my husband - he's a Lego nut :)
Hugs,
Rach
I recently watch a doc about the Lego games, I'd like it to stay in my head as happy building blocks! And as for Mario, I haven't tried the new games, but I remember playing it on those really old PC's... ahh, memories!
Nice to meet you through the A-Z challenge :) Hope to see you around!
We have a little in common, my banner is also me in various guises and I also like Super Mario and Lego games but at this point in my life I watch my husband play them while he watches the kids. I am usually sewing or doing other non-kid related things then. When I was pregnant with my second child we played all the Picmin. I know that is old and on the Gamecube but I LOVED it. I'll always think about that pregnancy and making blue and red little aliens.
Haven't tried any of those. My son is really into Scooby Doo on the wii. Wanted to get him Mario Bros, but found Sonic to be less pricey.
From a classic gamers point of view, the new Mario Bros. on the Wii is really a great throw back to the original. It's seen a major graphic overhaul without losing the look and feel of a classic Mario game. I personally really enjoyed it.
I haven't seen Mario in forever! Great post.

Fellow A to Z'er stopping by to say hello. My kids love Mario and Lego Star Wars.
Awesome post! Loved the title, "E for Everyone" because you see it on the back of every video game (not the letter E, but some other ratings substitute).
And Mario Brothers still rocks to this day!
Love Mario and the Lego games are a riot!
I went into a Mario and Sonic Hedgehog phase for a while when my kids were younger and had the games. Those games were so cool and rather addictive. Just the other day one of my daughters mentioned how she remembered me playing Sonic in their bedroom at night when I thought they were asleep. Guess I should have gotten my own Sonic game to play with.
