You see, I have a bad habit of missing the good geeky TV shows until they're off the air (or in their final season). Examples:
- Firefly
- Lost
- Battlestar Gallactica
- Futurama (ok, that one's been brought back...now)
- Veronica Mars
- Dead like Me
- Arrested Development
- I'm sure there are others that I can't think of at the moment.
Then one day, low and behold, the movie was on.
So we watched it.
And loved it.
And proceeded to watch all of season one that weekend. Now, BG fans know why we did. Because each stupid episode leaves you hanging at such a critical moment, we kept saying, "Just one more episode."
We're now working our way through the other seasons and enjoying it, but with a bitter-sweetness because we know it will soon end.

And now you are geek-savvy! I remember the old Battlestar Galactica. Watched it as a kid.
You're a day early with C, but now you have Monday off. Maybe that's a good plan!
I've never seen Battlestar Galactica. I'll have to check it out. I have the same bad habit of missing good geeky TV shows too, many that are on your list. I'm so glad there is Netflix!
Battlestar Galactica is one fine show. You also might want to check out "Jeremiah" on Netflix. That show left me speechless even though it was not renewed for a third season.
Hehe, I so know that feeling of "Just one more episode!!" ;)
This is a great show, though I have to admit I still haven't finished season 1.
I have been doing the same thing with Netflix. I have been enjoying it more than I thought I would. It's great to be a Geek BTW! :)

This was very informative! We just got Netflix and I have been doing the same thing.
I so envy you at the beginning of your BSG adventure. All I can say is watch EVERY episode and I challenge you not to feel a gaping hole in your heart by the final episode. And it's worth buying season four for an episode that contains 'The Adama Manoeuvre'. You'll know when you get to it!
Now, why the frak didn't you watch it earlier?

*Loved* BSG. I had the same experience: didn't catch it the first time around - too busy with school and work and stuff. Then Dave and I got into watching TV series for kicks. I borrowed season 1 of BSG from the library (our library is awesome), and there was no turning back. Every night with dinner, Dave would say, "Want to watch space guns?" (His pet name for BSG.) I would reply, "Yes! Yes I do!"
I've heard so MANY great things about that show. I really need to watch it myself. Maybe this summer!
