Craftiness--Photography and shameless self-promotion

The nesting instinct is starting to take over, so expect lots of crafting and DIY posts in the next couple of months.  But in the meantime, check out my side project Focused Perspective Photography.

A friend and I are starting the process of doing some photography on the side.  You can see some of our work posted on our blog, as well as the occasional article about taking better pictures and hints for getting your pictures taken.

Weekend pretty

So I had a really good weekend this week, but instead of listing what I did, I thought I'd share some of the prettiest pictures from the weekend.  Hope it brightens your Monday!

You're lucky you're cute!

In order to catch up with being behind on 50k in 50 Days, I wrote about 1600 words today.  My brain is fried.  I actually need to write about 600 more to really be caught up, but I'm leaving those for later.

But, since I'm trying to post every day, I need to put something up here.  But instead of really writing anything, I thought I would give you a photo essay on my dog Franklin.  He's a rat terrier/something mix that we got from our local shelter.  He's a little over a year old, and sometimes I think slightly brain damaged.

But he's cute.  And he's very lucky he's cute, because out of our two dogs, he's the trouble maker.  So without further ado, here's a short photo collection of Franklin.

Here are some pictures I've taken at random points in the past.  I like tweaking the colors and saturation on my photography, sometimes creating some unusual moods.  Let me know what you think!

This one was taken in the Lafayette #1 cemetery in New Orleans.

From the Ave Maria Grotto in Cullman, AL.  A monk built hundreds of tiny buildings from cement, stones, costume jewelry, etc.  This is his take on St. Peter's Basilica in Rome.
