Bloggerstock: "Stop the World, I want to get off/on"

Click here for Bloggerstock
Today I am hosting the wonderful Lily from Is it too early for a martini? Along with having a great blog (where she just wrapped up her 30 days of truth, which I'm way too chicken to tackle) she's also a partner in crime for Blogging Blobs (when we both remember to post).

Girl's got good reason to want the world to slow down.  See what she has to say for herself:

~~~
Hello readers! I’m Lily from http://isittooearlyforamartini.blogspot.com. If you’re loyal reader of the Cerebral Lunchbox, then you might know about another blog: http://bloggingblobs.blogpost.com. Both Witless Exposition and I contribute to that blog. And now I’m here to take over this blog. Bloggerstock is the name of the game, and the theme this month was “Stop World, I want to get on/off!”. I want to just stop it all together.
I just turned 24 over the weekend. And sure, it’s fun or whatever… but it would be one million times better if I didn’t fell like I just turned 64.
Thanks to my erratic school and work schedule, I am never home, I never sleep, I never eat, I’m just a robot. Except, that I’m not really a robot, and I’m a human running on no energy.
I’m at school from 11 am to 7 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Also, on Saturdays from 9 am to noon. I also work part time. But that really means I can work anywhere from 3 to 8 hours on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturdays.
I never thought school was tiring until this semester. And it’s entirely my fault. I only had to take one class, and I decided to take a full course load. Can we say idiot? Go ahead, I give you permission.
I just want to world to stop. I need more time. I want to hang out with my friends. I want to go out with my boyfriend more often. I want to SLEEP more that 4 hours a day.
World, please stop!
If you stop enough for there to be at least an extra five hours a day, and I could hang out with people or sleep … I’ll say we’re even.
I want to thank Witless for letting me whine about not having enough time to do fun stuff. And also, I want to thank you for reading. Make sure you stop by my blog to read BooyaBobby’s post.
Plug day!
So in between my grief group and a doctor's appointment, I haven't gotten a whole lot of time to write today.  After dinner (which my dear husband is cooking for me as we speak) I plan on getting down to business on A Window to the Gift.
Just a short post today with updates and plugs for upcoming events.
  • As of posting this, I have 3880 words in my manuscript.  That's a record for the most I've ever written in one day.  I doubt I can keep that pace up, but I'm still pretty stoked about it.  Feel free to buddy me if you're taking part in NaNo.
  • The Small Packages blogfest posting day is just two weeks away!  Put your thinking caps on for this month's theme:
    • In honor of Thanksgiving, and the beginning of a long line of colonists screwing over Native Americans, post about a time that you took advantage of someone. Or if you don't want to be that revealing about your darker side, write about a time that someone took advantage of you.
  • The husband has a great contest going on his blog.  Show off your Inappropriate sense of humor and maybe win a free T-shirt!  Check out his ever growing Cafe Press shop, too!
  • Make sure to check back tomorrow for the latest installment of Taking Liberty, my 3WW inspired serial story.
  •  Prepare yourself for support-less support at Blogging Blobs, a new cooperative blog I'm a part of.
Coming Clean
So a while back, the Husband started something called Monday Weigh-in.  We're both overweight and thought that maybe other internet people could sympathize and help motivate us.
I hid my cooperation on my other blog (which I think will just be a place for recipes from now on).  And apart from my whole "it doesn't really fit my other blog" excuse, I think I've been able to come clean with the reason.  And so I'll come clean with you.
It's pretty embarrassing for me to talk about my weight and body image issues.  And like lots of other chunks, I tend to deal with it by avoidance.
So, I'm going to be dealing with it though another denial process: humor!
I know, I know, it's still not emotionally healthy, but I think humor is one step closer to acceptance, don't you?
A few blogger friends from 20sb and I have created Blogging Blobs, an online support group without the support.  We'll each be posting about our experiences during the previous week, and mercilessly taunt each other about it.  Hopefully not enough to make anyone cry...too much.  Join in on the fun!
Monday: My handsome husband will be posting
Tuesday: Lily from Is it too early from a martini?
Wednesday: Lorraine from Late to the Party
Thursday: Bret from Slightly Disappointing
Friday: Yours truly
Join us for the get to know you posts this week and then for the real action next week!
